This session is one of my most favorite ones to date. Part of that may just be that I have a super special attachment to this beautiful newborn baby girl. Her mama is a dear friend of mine. We used to work together a million years ago (right out of high school for me), and we've stayed connected ever since. So when she said she wanted me to be the one to photograph her perfect baby girl, I jumped for joy (literally). So I'm a bit biased, but once you take a look, I think you'll agree that this little lady is just perfect in every way. Oh and her brother makes a special appearance at the end too.
Mama, baby, grandma, and big brother all traveled all the way from Tulsa to my studio here in Stillwater, Oklahoma just to see me. I always plan for babies that travel to have some awake time during their session because they will usually have slept all the way here. Baby R started out her session totally catatonic. It was perfect! She let me get the most froggy images I've ever done in a session (NINE). She loved it so much. Then she made a giant poop on my blue backdrop and I ended up waking her up when I went to clean it all up. Silly lady! So I took full advantage of her awake time and wrapped her up for some beautiful awake shots. Then she sort of went to sleep for like a minute, then woke up once I let her little arms out of her wrap. We eventually got her back to sleep, and the session was back in swing again. She did so good though! I loved getting to see my beloved friend, and snuggle her perfect little baby girl.
